The cost of attendance may vary based on your program of study and the聽special fees聽for that program. Annual increases are often necessary to provide the highest quality instruction, facilities, programs and services, and the University strives to keep those increases reasonable. Students and families should plan for annual cost increases and be prepared for the financial commitment.
Aid for International Students
Undergraduate Aid: We offer merit-based scholarships in recognition of exceptional academic and personal achievement. Selection is made by the Office of Admissions and eligibility is based on academic credentials. Eligible students will be notified at the time of admission. Any questions regarding undergraduate merit scholarships can be sent to orange@syr.edu.
Graduate Aid: The majority of decisions regarding graduate funding are made at the departmental level, so contact your program to see what opportunities are available through your school or college. Your professors, faculty advisor, program director or department chair are in the best position to determine if/how you will qualify for merit-based support from your graduate program. You can also connect with your graduate admissions officer for more information.
